  • Log in using the link in the top right hand corner of the screen.
  • In a session’s description window, click on the yellow button with the ▷ icon that says "Open Zoom", “Open Vimeo”, “Open YouTube”, or “Open Videostream” Click on this button. These links will become visible 10 minutes before the session starts.
  • Can’t see the yellow ▷ button or can’t press it to open the Videostream? You’re either not signed in to Sched or it’s not 10 minutes before the session start time.
  • If a session is full, check back 24 hours later for the recorded link for the same session.
  • ALL PRERECORDED SESSIONS CAN BE FOUND HERE.

The history of Congo as a case study of imperialism… from ‘Independence’ to the ongoing Congo Wars; “It was just robbery with violence, aggravated murder on a great scale... what redeems it is the idea only", Joseph Conrad. Topics include - Lumumba’s assassination, Hammarskjold’s death, Katangan succession, Mobutu’s rise, the Rwandan Genocide, Kagame’s rise and Rwanda/Uganda’s invasion of Congo (5 million deaths). We also explore the implications of this history for Social Studies curricula.
