ATTENDING CONVENTION SESSIONS
  • Log in using the link in the top right hand corner of the screen.
  • In a session’s description window, click on the yellow button with the ▷ icon that says "Open Zoom", “Open Vimeo”, “Open YouTube”, or “Open Videostream” Click on this button. These links will become visible 10 minutes before the session starts.
  • Can’t see the yellow ▷ button or can’t press it to open the Videostream? You’re either not signed in to Sched or it’s not 10 minutes before the session start time.
  • If a session is full, check back 24 hours later for the recorded link for the same session.
  • ALL PRERECORDED SESSIONS CAN BE FOUND HERE.

Black Canadians helped settle the Prairies yet still remain invisible in the content of the curriculum. Systemic Anti-Black Racism was here then and still is 100 years later. The one hour multi-award-winning documentary film, ‘We Are The Roots’, facilitated by a third generation African American Alberta descendant, will increase your knowledge about racial injustice practices here in this province and serve as a catalyst to start the conversation for reconciliation.
