ATTENDING CONVENTION SESSIONS
  • Log in using the link in the top right hand corner of the screen.
  • In a session’s description window, click on the yellow button with the ▷ icon that says "Open Zoom", “Open Vimeo”, “Open YouTube”, or “Open Videostream” Click on this button. These links will become visible 10 minutes before the session starts.
  • Can’t see the yellow ▷ button or can’t press it to open the Videostream? You’re either not signed in to Sched or it’s not 10 minutes before the session start time.
  • If a session is full, check back 24 hours later for the recorded link for the same session.
  • ALL PRERECORDED SESSIONS CAN BE FOUND HERE.

Ally is a verb. Whether you are wanting to educate yourself more about your own biases, or learn how to have fewer of them in your classroom, awareness is the first step, then you need to act on what you learn. The focus will be microaggressions heard by members of the LGBTQ2S+ community (students and staff) and the ways to avoid or redirect so that the desired intention comes across instead. By the end, participants will be better able to have challenging conversations about bias.
